Timothy Tracy, NAD Certified Sign Language Interpreter, Serving the Deaf Since 1955 12328 Bronson Way, Orlando, FL 32824 Telephone: 407-812-4262 Fax Number: 407-812-4873 Pager: 407-570-8003 E-Mail: [email protected] Basic Interpreting Fees Basic Interpreting Fees: $35.00 per hour, per interpreter An additional $10.00 per hour "tier" applies to each of the following: 1. Last minute bookings and emergency assignments (less than 48 hours advance notice). 2. Third Shift assignments (10pm-6am). General General assignments are non-critical in nature and can include routine employment, non-technical educational, non-critical medical, social service, theatrical, leisure, and other generalized settings. The Agency may assign interpreters who have passed Florida state screening certifications, qualified pre-credentialled, or intern interpreters to these assignments. Advanced Advanced assignments include technical or intense assignments requiring interpreters to perform difficult and exacting services, possibly involving some measure of critical risk. Examples include business conferences, highly technical or difficult educational, industry specific training seminars, general mental health, and non-critical legal or medical settings. The Agency may assign interpreters who have passed Florida state screening certifications or who hold national level certification. Master Assignments which may involve significant legal, medical, or psychological ramifications to either the contracting entity, deaf client, hearing consumer, or the Agency require the services of interpreters holding advanced credentials. These interpreters have been rigorously trained, tested, and possess credentials that assure consistent and legally defensible levels of interpreting proficiency, as well as adherence to strict ethical standards. Master level interpreters are required for all law enforcement, legal, and significant medical settings Agency will only assign interpreters to these assignments who possess national level or advanced Florida state screening certifications. (Please note: All interpreting assignments require the input of the purchasing consumer, the deaf or hard of hearing client, and the AGENCY. These descriptors are designed as guidelines. Therefore, in order to protect both business and deaf/hard of hearing consumers, the AGENCY maintains the right to final determination of services rendered.) Billing and Business Policies Booking Policies Five business days advance notice required for all services. Last-minute (less than forty-eight hours) and emergency requests will be billed an additional $10.00 per hour. Billing Policies All fees due upon services rendered. Advance deposit may be required. Billing system available to contract customers. Cancellation Policies Cancellation of confirmed services accepted with two business days advance notice. Services canceled in timely manner will be billed only for any commission or advance expenses incurred. Services canceled without adequate notice will be billed in full for all hours. Two-Hour Minimum All interpreting services billed at hourly rates based on a two-hour minimum fee. Ongoing assignments negotiable by contract. Team Interpreting Policies Interpreting assignments in excess of two hours in duration, or assignments of an extremely demanding nature, require team interpreting services. In the spirit of delivering services at the lowest possible cost to the consumer, the AGENCY recognizes that many of these assignments may not require team services. However, the AGENCY maintains the right to assess each situation on a per case basis and the right to final determination of services rendered. The AGENCY will not send single interpreters to assignments where there is significant risk of physical injury Mileage and Expenses Travel and additional expenses incurred by interpreters on assignment will be billed to the requestor. Staff duties must clearly not be of a continuous or highly demanding nature. AGENCY will not assign interpreters to any assignment where there is significant risk of physical injury. Cancellations Cancellation of confirmed services accepted with forty eight hours advance notice. Services canceled without adequate notice will be paid in full for all hours booked. Travel and Expenses AGENCY considers Orange and Osceola counties to be "home territory" and will not reimburse for travel within this area. Reimbursement for Travel expenses outside of Osceola or Orange counties negotiable per assignment. Additional expenses directly related to the performance of an assignment will be reimbursed by AGENCY. these can include parking fees, assignment related supplies, or other direct assignment cost. Compensation Policy AGENCY considers all interpreters to be in private practice and compensates all interpreters as contract labor. Interpreters will be paid twice monthly with one pay period withholding. Paychecks will be issued on the 1st and 15th of every month without delay. | |||||||||||||||||||||||
